Review content:
My husband and I went to Nine 75 to celebrate my birthday. It's definitely the ""hip"" place to be and not so great for a romantic dinner. Our booth was right across from a fairly disturbing portrait of Keith Richards, while perhaps a great piece of art (?) it's extremely unappetizing. The food was average. The chopped salad was fine but nothing unique or special about it. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken and the best part of it was the mayonaise dipping sauce, other than that it didn't have much flavor. My husband enjoyed his dishes, a twice-baked potato and the lobster taco appetizer plate. The service was uninspired. When we first sat down, our plates and glasses were sticking to the table and there was dirt on my napkin. It took a while for someone to acknowledge our presence and then I was served the wrong drink.\r
We had a pleasant enough time, but won't return and won't necessarily recommend it. I got the impression that the bar area in the back was the place to ""see and be seen"" and that some folks get a kick out of the communal table that looks right into the kitchen. So if that's what you're looking for then Nine 75 is it.
