If Dr. Horan sends you for an MRI, I suggest doing it at an imaging center and bringing the scans to his office. The reason is that he is a single practice doctor and the time between the actual MRI and him reading the results is on average 1 month (my expeirience and several friends that see him on a regular basis). At least then you will have the radiologist report in your hand in 48 hours and can figure out if there's a problem or not that needs to be addressed immediately or activity that needs to be limited and not wait weeks. I think the most frustrating thing about his practice - though I know he's smart and talented - is that the wait time for an appt or a follow-up is ridiculous. I wish he'd refer out when his schedule is packed or take on a partner that he trusts.
