When I unexpectedly had to move all of my belongings into storage on short notice 6 months ago, I began sifting through the usual options (ie public storage, etc) and luckily stumbled across SoCal Self Storage. They seemed to have everything I was looking for (a clean, secure unit that was temp controlled and accepted packages if necessary, for a decent price). When I first stopped in to get a closer look, it was a no-brainer. The units are secure and the whole building is spotless and very well lit (with sensor lights). There are two elevators that make it easy to access the units and there are plenty of free flat-bed dolly's available to help make the moving very easy. There are also parking spaces reserved for socal storage users only and they are literally right in front of the elevators that take you right to your unit.
Those things alone would seem like a great thing, but it's the little details that really set this place apart from any other storage facility. Their logo has the word ""nice"" on it, and they truly deliver on that. The guys in the office offered me bottled water every time I came in and I was stunned to find out that they offer a free moving van to use when you move in!
Again, elaborating on the ""nice""...if all those things weren't enough on their on merit, I was happily met with smiling faces in the office on day one and every time I popped in thereafter AND I truly got the feeling that these guys are the real deal - genuine sweethearts (sometimes hard to come by in this town). All the guys were above and beyond helpful but Moses really topped the cake.
I just moved my stuff out of my unit because I'm moving east and upon move out I used their truck. There was a small charge for using the truck upon move out, but $40 a day for the truck (with no hassle) sure beats UHaul any day.
Overall I'd recommend and have recommended this facility to my friends and to anyone looking for some place they can feel safe and secure leaving their belongings.
