Best Dive Ever!!\r \r We found this place when we stayed at the motel next door. After finding no other restaurants open in nearby Mount Airy, NC, we decided to give this place a try. Because of its ""shady-looking"" exterior, we weren't sure what to expect, but the pizza and french fries were outstanding! And, as the other reviewer stated, everything is made to order by the rather ""gruff"" owner. The ""dining room"" is a few wooden picnic tables set outside in front, right next to Andy and Barney's old police car from Mayberry RFD. \r \r Every time we travel to vacation in North Carolina, we plan a stop at the Mayberry Station Grill and Market as part of our trip! Don't be intimidated by the exterior of the place, it is really a ""find"" - a true diamond in the rough. It should be featured on ""Diners, Drive-ins and Dives""! Try it - you'll love it!! \r Pros: Outstanding Food! Cons: Unconventional Appearance
