I stopped in thinking I'd have to leave my borken suitcase and wait a week or so. Joel quickly got the zipper unstuck and explained the cost advantages of repairing over replacing the zipper. He repaired the suitcase while I waited so now the handle extends and I can zip it shut. When I asked how much he just smiled and said ""a couple of dollars is fine"". I had no cash and could not leave without paying for his time and expertise. He just smiled when I said I'd be back. I did go back with fair payment. And I will continue bringing all repairs to his shop - and I travel a lot so I need luggage repair frequently.
