2 years ago we built our home and used Americarpet of Layton for our flooring. We spent over $10,000 on hardwood floors from them. They installed it and it looked fair. After 1 month the boards began to separate and we called them to see what to do. They promised to send the installed up to look at it, which never happened. We called every week for over a year and they never talked to us about it or came to look at it. It has been 2 years now since we built the house and the floor now looks so bad we would like to take it out and replace it. If you're going to do hardwood floors, don't use Americarpet. They don't know how to install it correctly and what's worse, they don't care enought to fix it if they mess up.
