I took an unreadable hard drive (with EVERYTHING on it from the last 6 years+) to Geek Squad. They spent 45 minutes looking over it, only to tell me they COULD NOT recover my data. I was devastated. Geek Squad advised me to send my drive off to some place in Kentucky for a few thousand dollars!\r

I then found a local Disk Doctors Lab in town to do what the Geek Squad had suggested. After a few days of analyzing, they came back with a quote for $1400 and a turnaround time of 5-7 days. Even more frustrating, I couldn't speak to anyone who was actually analyzing my hard drive at Disk Doctors to talk about my situation. \r

Thank goodness I found Steve at about the same time. He was willing to work over the THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY weekend, and he promised to beat their price. Unfortunately, Disk Doctors was closed for 4+ days, so I couldn't get my drive back until Monday. \r

When I was finally able to get my drive to Steve on Monday, he went right to work. He let me know on Tuesday that things were looking good with the data recovery. By Thursday, he was ready to transfer the data to a new drive. I had it back from him by Friday morning, and he was right - he completey SMASHED the price of the Disk Doctors.\r

Not only was Steve's price great, his customer service was excellent. He was flexible with meeting times and even ran outside one time to pick up something from my car, so I didn't have to park with a two year old. And, when I had questions after I got the data home, he was quick to respond to email. (I don't want to set the expectations too high, but he literally returned my email within one minute!!)\r
