***BUYER BEWARE***
They were the (1st) repair service that was sent by the manufacturer. The initial tech that showed up, came in his own car. We must say, he was very nice and professional. Was with him the whole time and he explained every step.
Took him all but 1 min to open up the rear, plug something in the back, heard the same humming and buzzing, and told me it needed a compressor. Said they would order the part and his company would call me later in the day or the next to set up an appt.Never heard from them!
Decided to call them myself on Monday. This is where the fun begins!
A sales rep gets on, and tells me, they need a deposit to pay for the compressor. I explained I had a full warranty and I shouldn't have to pay for anything. Then he started to stutter and mumble, and told me to hold on. At this point I got the feeling I was about to be taken for a ride.
The next guy gets on, saying he's the manager, and tells me that after realizing the compressor was bad, the tech started to look around to see was caused the failure, and realized the water lines were rusted, which in turn caused the compressor to fail. He stated that corrosion is not covered, and although they tried to get the warranty to cover it, the company still denied the claim, and I needed to give them a (large) deposit for the repair.
I proceeded to call the company, which told me they never denied the claim, they approved it! After explaining the story to them, they sent out another company instead, which came, checked it out, and said ""no problem, we'll fix it!""
If your company sends Wind, do yourself a favor and do not let them in your house, as they will scam you out of extra money!
