Review content:
Wife and I went to the Biscuits Cafe on 19273 Molalla Ave. in Oregon City. It was ok, but nothing too special. They seem to be a local chain with most restaurants around the greater Portland area. However they have one restaurant in Vancouver, Wa. and one in Texas of all places.\r
Although I selected 4 stars, 3 1/2 stars would be more appropriate.\r
Anyway, the person who seated us was on the phone constantly the entire time we were there. Seems they do a good takeout business. However, my glass of grapefruit juice remained on the counter far longer than it should have due to her having to handle phones and wait tables. Seems there should be someone to handle phones as the phone traffic was pretty heavy. As she was on the phone when we came in the restaurant, she just grabbed 2 menus, walked us to our table and plopped the menus on the table and quickly left to finish the phone call.\r
Decor is more cafe style, hence the name I suppose. I tend to enjoy breakfast places that seem more ""homey"" from a decor standpoint.\r
On to the food. I had the ""Pancake sandwich."" 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and choice of ham, sausage, or bacon. I ordered sunny side up eggs and very crisp bacon. Both came exactly as ordered. Pancakes were very soft and fluffy and LARGE! Food was tasty. Wife had scrambled eggs and biscuits. The eggs were done properly and not rubbery. The biscuits were very light and flaky. We had hoped so since the name of the place is ""Biscuits Cafe"". \r
Except for the grapefruit juice languishing for awhile the rest of the service was just fine.\r
I'll give them a recommended but they should work on the phone issue.
Pros: Food.
Cons: Service due to heavy phone calls coming in to the restaurant.
