FOOD POISIONING ALERT! 8/15/2011

My girlfriend and I have been eating breakfast here for some years to come. The other day we decided to come back once more. She decided to order their shrimp omelet. The food arrived, but as she was eating it she noticed it smelled fishy. I tried a small bite and it was a little fishy, but we thought nothing about it and she continued eating. That night she took the left overs to work, mind you this is all she had eaten all day. That night @ work she got sick, coming from both ends. We knew right then who was responsible. She called up the manager/owner the next morning and told her what had happened. Turns out, according to the owner, Biscuits couldn't have possibly given her food poisoning because everything they use is fresh, and they've never had a complaint about people getting sick. Either that or my girlfriend was just lying about the throwing up I had to hear for 3 hours straight. She then when on to tell her, ""We're really busy and I need to get going"". The owner did however offer us both free breakfasts, but we decided to turn her down for the unprofessional way she handled the situation on the phone; because biscuits doesn't spit on their customers food either...It's too bad, they just lost ""a lot"" of customers from which we turned on to the place. more

Why did I come here again? 1/1/2010

I tried out Biscuits Cafe for lunch because I have seen several locations open up including Lake Oswego and West Linn so I figured there must be something worth trying. I had the turkey sandwich with a salad. First of all, the service was lacking. 2 employees working for a completely full dining room. The second and biggest problem, the food was awful. The turkey tasted foul and the lettuce for my salad was wilted. Pros: Lunch is a one time event Cons: Food, service, price.. more

Bad service and good food 7/13/2009

Wait staff makes you feel like they don't want you there at the Happy Valley location. They are often rude and make you wait a long time. If you get ther half an hour before they close they start to put up chairs and take away the condiments from your table. They spend more time talking to each other than waiting on you. The service is too slow to eat there on an hour lunch. The food is always great but I've been really disappointed with their lack of customer service more

Better than average food. Average service and decor. 3/6/2008

Wife and I went to the Biscuits Cafe on 19273 Molalla Ave. in Oregon City. It was ok, but nothing too special. They seem to be a local chain with most restaurants around the greater Portland area. However they have one restaurant in Vancouver, Wa. and one in Texas of all places.\r Although I selected 4 stars, 3 1/2 stars would be more appropriate.\r Anyway, the person who seated us was on the phone constantly the entire time we were there. Seems they do a good takeout business. However, my glass of grapefruit juice remained on the counter far longer than it should have due to her having to handle phones and wait tables. Seems there should be someone to handle phones as the phone traffic was pretty heavy. As she was on the phone when we came in the restaurant, she just grabbed 2 menus, walked us to our table and plopped the menus on the table and quickly left to finish the phone call.\r Decor is more cafe style, hence the name I suppose. I tend to enjoy breakfast places that seem more ""homey"" from a decor standpoint.\r On to the food. I had the ""Pancake sandwich."" 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and choice of ham, sausage, or bacon. I ordered sunny side up eggs and very crisp bacon. Both came exactly as ordered. Pancakes were very soft and fluffy and LARGE! Food was tasty. Wife had scrambled eggs and biscuits. The eggs were done properly and not rubbery. The biscuits were very light and flaky. We had hoped so since the name of the place is ""Biscuits Cafe"". \r Except for the grapefruit juice languishing for awhile the rest of the service was just fine.\r I'll give them a recommended but they should work on the phone issue. Pros: Food. Cons: Service due to heavy phone calls coming in to the restaurant. more
