Review content:
My family and I stopped on a 5 degree January Friday night around 7:15. the parking lot seemed full, so before unloading our 4 and 6 year old daughters, my wife ran in to see if there was a wait. After checking with the hostess, my wife returned and reported that there was not a wait, so we promptly unloaded and went inside. Clearly, they were busy, but a vacant booth right next to the hostess station assured us that we would be able to sit down quickly. The manager was now at the hostess stand and asked us ""how many?"" I replied 4 for non-smoking. He took out his pen and pad and said ""Can I have your name?"". I replied, ""No, there's a booth open right there,"" and pointed out the open booth. He said, ""I'm leaving that open so I can provide you the best service possible.""\r
\r
WHAT?\r
\r
I then asked him how making my family wait when a table was open was providing US the best service possible? I never did get that answer. I told him I would not wait when a table was clearly open.\r
\r
He repeatedly told me that we would have to wait to be seated ... so he could provide us the best service.\r
\r
Needless to say, we left and never plan on returning.\r
\r
How could I spend my money there when they treat customers like that? He might've had a great reason for requesting we wait (besides hoping that we would go spend money in the bar), but the man didn't even offer a REAL reason. Just the robotic ""I want to provide you the best service possible.""\r
\r
I don't plan on eating there again. Besides being treated poorly, in prior visits, the food is fair, at best. Nothing special. We went to Perkins and had a meal that was probably as good as anything we could get there ... and the waitress with the piercing and tattoos all over treated us better too.
Pros: Quite often, not busy
Cons: Lousy service and mediocre food
