DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! I only wish I had read a similar warning before hiring them for a very simple, local move. The phone quote they give you is a lie. Gil Velasquez sounds professional and polite over the phone. BUT....the day of the move the cost is MUCH higher than originally quoted! AND the problems do not stop with the higher moving fee. The movers are careless and do much damage to your possessions! I had a beautiful dining room table in pristine condition. The entire corner of the table was broken off! What is American Van Lines East willing to compensate me so I can attempt to have this beautiful furniture repaired??? $36.00 !!!!! This company needs to be put out of business. If you prefer an honest company and one that will value your possessions, DO NOT HIRE AMERICAN VAN LINES EAST!!!
