I moved from Orlando to chicago and I hired American van lines east for my move. The service was excellent from the people at the office to the guys That came to pick up my ite...

Worst

Overestimated the time needed for the move, promised a refund and never provided it. Quality of handling the furniture was just acceptable.

Absolutely horrible experience with this company. Just about all of our furniture has some sort of minor damage. This is my first online negative review and I most likely would have forgotten about it, but....I'm reminded every day because I see the damage to our furniture. A lot of it was new too. You'd most likely be making a mistake by hiring them. more

They increased the delivery fee late on the delivery date, and i had damaged property that the delivery men noted on their paperwork but yet they dont want to pay for all the damaged property.They did offer me $21.00 for a tv stand they never saw and to get the $21.00 it had to be notorized.So between sending the photos of all the damages ,calls, letters,notory fees I am getting nothing.Well Im doing something about it and if any one else has problems pursue legal action otherwise they think its a joke .DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY more

I echo the bait and switch complaints. Quoted me $350 for a 5 mile move, changed it almost $1000 on site, claiming almost $300 in ""packaging fees"". Then the movers told me my best bet was to cancel, and that if I hired a U-haul they would come back and help me for cash under the table. I cancelled because they came off as scam artists. I've been charged $350 cancellation fee in addition to $89 deposit. Scandalous. Rest assured they have been reported to the BBB. more

Great work!\r The man was very good and very expeditious about moving. Everything in a timely fashion. I had a very good moving experience. The sales team is very courteous and helpful from my pick up in Clearwater to my destination in Austin, TX. My household good were delivered in a timely manner.\r Thank you American Van Lines East, I would definitely recommend American Van Lines east again.\r more

Best moving service. I moved from Tampa,FL to Chicago and I used American Van Lines East as my moving company.All i can say is that American Van Lines East offered the best rate and best service .My estimate stayed the same without changing anything in the original estimate.\r \r This whole move was very sudden for me and Mike my sales person was very helpfull from The pick up date to my delivery in Chicago. more

Do NOT believe any of the people on this forum giving this company 5 stars. I found out that these ""raters"" are employees of the company that troll these sites trying to up their rating and cover up their lies and stealing.\r \r Just go to BBB or read the 1 star reviews as it's the same story over and over.
