Review content:
This was my first and last expierence with any animal control center. Yesterday early afternoon my dogs got out of our yard and got picked up by a neighbor and taken to Yuba County Animal Control. Before they had recieved our dogs I called and filed a report with them, so that if they had any calls regarding them they would call me and notify me. About 4 hours after filing the report with them I called back to see if they had heard anything and of course they did, they had gotten a call about them 30 min. before I called. Instead of giving the person my number, or them calling me themselves, they went and picked them up. When I called, the lady I spoke to said I did not have any reports for them on file. It was 4:00 and she told me that they close at 3:30 but they are there until 5 but we could not get our dogs until the next day. She said they open at 8am and fees have to be paid by 1:30, so I was there to get them at 10am and the same lady I talked to on the phone the day before told me I could not take my dogs home until around 3:30, and then tried to tell me that she told me that on the phone the day before and she did not! The employees working at the front desk were VERY rude. When we got our dogs home they both went to the bathroom MULTIPLE times in 5 min and drank more water then we had ever seen them drink before, not to mention our smallest dog had a spot on his lip were you could tell he got into it with another dog. I believe this place did not let our dogs outside and did not give them any water the whole time they were there. I had the intention on taking a look for another dog to add to my family,however I was so upset with the staffs rudeness and blatant disregard for my pets wellbeing that I didn't want to give them another penny of my hard earned money. I loathe this place with a passion. In the future I will take my business else where and suggest that you do the same.
