If there's one thing I cannot stand are those who bully people into making payments. But, when you send a payment, regardless of the amount, they send it back with a letter stating ""THIS MATTER HAS NOT BEEN CLOSED IN OUR OFFICE."" Now, I know it's not closed, but this office is trying to play me as if I were stupid. I am not stupid. I think this person just wants to show his/hsr client ""PORTFOLIO RECOVERY ASSOCIATES"" that they can get their money. ALL I WANT TO DO is make payments, and ALL I can afford at this time is $5.00 a month. That's better than getting NOTHING AT ALL. But, they keewp sending it back. I sent it three (3) times, and three (3) times it came back with a letter. First letter was demanding I pay $50.00 for the initial month/payment with monthly payments of $50.00 til paid in full. At this time, I sent a letter of expanation with the payment and it came back with the letter that said ""matter not closed."" The third one hasn't come back yet. But I'm sure it will. Three strikes, you eat the loss should apply here.
