Review content:
This restaurant is way better than what you get in a strip mall. Not that the strip mall should be a standard for comparison! The dishes look nice but somehow lack authentic Chinese flavor. I traveled in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan and got accustomed to GREAT Chinese food and this tastes like it's been dumbed down for American tastes,
the garlic sauce in particular. There are a lot of processed vegetables from cans such as the baby corn, the mushrooms, etc. On the plus side, the hot-and-sour soup is excellent and the spring rolls too. Lunch portions are small but the dinner portions are adequete. The staff are very friendly and kind. It gets crowded on weekends but the take-out service is pretty fast.
Pros: service, relative quality, value
Cons: not exceptional taste
