I love Watkin's Grill! I have been going there for years and years. It is a family runned restaurant that sits off of Wake Forest Rd right near Capital Blvd. There is a definite ""Southern"" spark to this place. With all of the memorabilia on the walls, and the polite country accents of the wonderful ladies that work there you just can't get more down home then you do at Watkin's! They have daily lunch specials that are sure to please the pickiest of diner's as well as the person who just wants ham and cheese on wheat. They are quick to serve you and are eager to please you as a customer. I can't say enough good about his place. With that said, don't expect for this to be a fine dining experience because it's not! This is a place to get great hushpuppies on Friday with Fried Fish, or squash casserole and Chicken n Dumplins on a Monday... it's not uptight or pretentious... it's just good food from good local folks! Try Watkin's!!
Pros: Great Food, Quick Service, breakfast anytime, endless tea, smiling friendly folks!
Cons: small parking lot, small dining area, not the newest building, smoke
