Just background information so that you understand my low rating I had just graduated from college this past week so my mom and dad along with 10 other family members flew to California from Virginia for the first time. They are very small town and English is their second language.??I wanted them to have dinner with me somewhere nice and to really experience something they never had. So we sit down and begin to literally order everything. I wanted them to enjoy everything. ??As the second bread basket comes I notice the server walk away about 4 feet behind me and tell a fellow server, ""Look at this table they are pigging out on the bread"" so I figure there is no way he would talk about our table this close to me. The appetizers come out and we begin to eat and again he turns to a fellow server RIGHT BEHIND ME and say ""Holy S**t these people are eating so much food"" This continued on the ENTIRE dinner. He continued on about how much bread we ate and how we finished every plate pretty much. I have been a server when I was younger and I understand its natural to complain but I wouldn't dare do it in front of people. That talk was saved for the kitchen.??
My check was upwards of $700 before the tip he gave himself. I have never had such terrible service. It made it even worse that it was in front of my family. This server ruined something that was mine to celebrate and my family will forever think poorly of not only this restaurant but region.??At the end I confronted him and asked him to save his comments for the kitchen. That i couldn't believe he had the audacity to talk about my family in arms reach of us. His reply, ""Yea i understand"" and walks away. ??My biggest regret is that I should have left at the beginning because the food wasn't even worth the trouble. Trust me we tried everything
??The escargot was not flavored which was such a disappointment. The stakes are not very well prepared nor was the duck. Even my mash potatoes tasted grainy like they were out of the box. My Beef Bourguignonne was way too salty but was very tender. However they did have very good fries. The only good desert was the chocolate do not order anything else the tart had this weird sauce it was really gross. ??
Please DO NOT come here.
