Review content:
The food is decent, the atmosphere is nice, but the service is really hit-or-miss. There is a particular waiter there who is not at all accommodating and is quite rude, which really makes the dining experience an unpleasant one. I have been to Oishi a few times and I am confident in asserting that the lack of service was not an isolated event. Unfortunately, Oishi is one-of-a-kind establishment in Newtown. For those who want decent Japanese, Thai, & Korean fare locally, experiencing poor service is the price to be paid. Because service is part of the dining experience for me, I am more than willing to travel to Center City Philadelphia or New Jersey for a complete and worthwhile dining experience. I will not be returning to Oishi again, as my time and money are not worth poor service.
