I went in for an HCG test on a Tuesday. On Wednesday they assured me ""everything was ok"" but it was IMPERATIVE that I return on Thursday (Thanksgiving) for a new hcg test. Since their office was closed, they sent a referral to the Harrisburg Hospital. The referral was missing the word 'stat' and since they weren't my PCP, I couldn't get the test. \r \r I called the on-call doctor, Dr. Seagraves, and he said ""I can't fax anything, I'm at home with my family. It's Thanksgiving."" No kidding? I'm not home with my family because you sent me here. The nurse at the hospital stated the test was necessary, they were looking for trouble with something in my early pregnancy, and to please wait for the Dr. to verbally authorize the 'stat.' I was worried, I was told there were no issues, but the nurse explained if there were none, it would not have been necessary to send me to an out-of-network facility, on a holiday. True. So they sent the result to the doctor within 2 hours on Thursday, but I let it go since the rude doctor wouldn't be h elpful today, anyway. I called Friday and left a message with the answering service, no response. Finally, FOUR DAYS LATER, monday rolls around. \r \r I call the office, press the # SPECIFICALLY for test results, the woman places me on hold for an excruciating 25 minutes, and then comes back and laughs that I though I could get my test results. She said a doctor first has to look at them , and call me back. I explained my panic, esp. since the test was taken four days ago (if results were so fast and they weren't going to call me, why couldn't I have gone this morning instead of on a holiday?), and I was notified Dr. Seagraves had the results when I called the hospital at 4pm. The woman on the phone was no help, only laughed and assured me ""someone will call me back."" If I pressed the # specifically for test results, why not get my info and call back, instead of holding 25 mins?\r It is now 30 minutes later and I'm searching for a new OB. Pros: I can't tell you any at this time Cons: Slow service, pushing for me to go test on a holiday but wont call me back for 4 days
