I was in need of a new roof. I had to have a tear off and replacement of shingles and some rotten wood. I received 3 estimates and one of the estimates was from ABC Roofing. There was another company whose estimate was a little less then ABC Roofing so I looked up on Angie's list to see the rating and comments from other customers on the two companies that I was trying to decide on.
The overall rating for ABC Roofing was all A's and the customers responses were good even when a customer was not happy they still had good things to say about the company. The other company that I was looking at had one B rating and that was for responding back to a customer. That was bothersome to me so I chose ABC Roofing.
I met with John Janke who explained things to me very well and gave me all my options that needed to be done and did not pressure me at all to choose certain options. When I called John he always returned my calls promptly.
I spoke with Pat in the office and she was very plesant and set up my appointment to have the roof done and sent me the paperwork that needed to be signed. When I called Pat and left a message she also returned my calls promptly. Pat also called me to move my appointment up one day earlier and had the materials delivered to my house so the workers would have the materials when they arrived. Also Pat had the material placed where I asked her to have it placed.
The workers did a good job. It was a little messy around the house when I got home from work but they were still working so I was a little worried how well they would clean up. John Janke arrived well before the workers were done and checked on the workmanship. Once the workers were done they did a very good job cleaning up and did it in a timely manner. I found a few small pieces of wood and a few nails around the house but overall they did a great job cleaning up.So I hope they are also told that they did a great job.
My overall experience was very good. This was a big decision for me with a big chunk of money I was spending and I had never had to purchase a roof before. Everything worked out smoothly. John Janke even called me midday and let me know the workers would be done that day and how many boards under the roof had to be replaced. I appreciated the phone call and the update. Thank you ABC Roofing for making this job as painless as possible for me and I would gladly recommend you to others.
