Review content:
Peking Duck WAS my favorite Chinese restaurant in QNS, up until today. At lunch, I found a hair on my plate & I called the waiter over to show him my findings. First, he said that maybe it was my hair. I told him that that was impossible, since I have long curly hair & this was clearly a short straight hair. Then he inspected my plate & tried to figure out where the hair came from. He kept asking me if I knew where it came from. I told him that the rice could be the source (I had general tso's chicken & rice). He offered me a new rice. I said ""no"", that I had lost my appetite & didn't want anything. I was pretty grossed out that I had eaten about 1/2 of my dish. He told me he would ""cancel it"" and I agreed. I assumed that he wouldn't charge me for my meal but I was wrong. Both meals were on the check. When I approached him about it, he told me that he had offered me a new rice and since I refused, he still had to charge me. I told him that I thought he would ""cancel it"" from the bill but he refused. I asked to speak to the manager. I explained the situation. He was unapologetic and said that usually when something like this happens, they offer a fresh dish. In this case they offered me a fresh rice (mind you, it didn't matter that the hair was on the plate with rice AND chicken.) They never even offered a fresh dish, just the rice. What was I supposed to do, Ignore that the hair was on my plate & continue to eat out of the same dish with a FRESH rice? GROSS!! I tried to explain to him that I am a faithful customer and would NOT comeback. He didn't care one bit! Not once did he apologize! \r
Listen, this is not the first time I find a hair on my meal and i'm sure it won't be the last, but I was extremely disappointed on how they handled it. I've given them a lot of business over the years and was NOT expecting such bad customer service and nasty attitude. Talk about leaving a bad taste in my mouth!
Pros: good duck
Cons: hairy meal, WORST service
