Review content:
This was my first time at an Amish restaurant and I just had no clue what to expect, so I didn't expect anything. Reading my reviews you will see that when possible I get the buffet so I can try a little of everything.
We got in and I thought we would have a wait, but we were seated right away. Its a cozy setting but not uncomfortably close. I glanced over the menu and found some items that made me scratch my head. One in particular was the noodles over potatoes. More on that later.
I hit up the buffet and found it to be kind of limited on its selections. It all the staples though and everything seemed like good ole home town cooking. The chicken was the first to hit my plate. It was tasty but not the best I had. I then tried the noodles over potatoes. It is kind of hard to explain, but it was like a chicken noodle stew over mashed potatoes. Best thing I had there!! It was great!! I ate a ton, so it was a good thing that they also had a massive gift shop! I was able to not only get dinner, but took home some cookies, beef jerky and cheese, and something for my wife and daughter. I may go there again if I am in the area.
Pros: Nice people, good buffet, good shopping :)
Cons: Kind of out of the way.
