Review content:
Walking in the old Sage location, and it was once one of our favorites in Decatur, we were wowed by the red and black Spanish Bordello feel. Eager staff, owner met us at the door, very friendly and eager. We decided to sit at the bar! Loved the blackboard, listing old-fashioned coctails, thought of my parents. Ordered two classic martini's. We thought the bartended had just gotten out of bartending school, making the drinks with a jigger. Was he worried about getting us drunk, or was just scared. I think it was the latter, and lacking in personality. The owner/compted, brought us Pork Cheek Taco's. Slow roasted pork cheeks, fire roasted corn salsa, avocado crems, arugula, and fresh lime. They were off the chart! We decided to make a dinner off the Tapas portion of the menu. First, it was Albondigas-fresh wild boar sausage-stuffed with piquillo peppers, Macedonian dates, and roasted peppers. We also had B.W.D., bacon wrapped dates stuffed with Manchego cheese, and walnuts. The tapas here is excellent, and creative. We will be back, to nosh on tapas. Hope they get a new bartender.
Pros: Great Tapas Menu!
Cons: Needs A Professional Bartender!
