We purchased a vehicle from this guy about a month ago, and nothing has gone wrong with it yet (knock on wood). But he has failed miserably at paying off our $30k trade-in. We gave him a payoff quote good for 2 wks, and he didn't make that deadline. Then when our next monthly payment approached, I called him to find out where the payoff check was, and he said he would overnight it and email me the tracking number and check copy. I called him every day for a week asking where that information was. When I finally called and asked for the tracking number over the phone, he assured me that the check was sent, he didn't have the check number on hand, and that it would get there by the payment due date. The payment due date has come and gone, and I've discovered that the package hadn't been actually sent until 4 days after he said he would overnight it. And he didn't overnight it; he sent it GROUND....scheduled to arrive 5 business days AFTER THE DUE DATE! \r We were also suspicious of him before we bought. He always said he has to talk to his GM before he could agree to something, but the GM was conveniently always in a meeting or out of town. When we signed out paperwork, we were further curious when we noticed that he had the only office in the building, the furthest back and biggest office too. Although this is almost comical, we decided to check the BBB website, and our suspicians were confirmed - he IS the GM!!! =P He also insulted his own employees who wash and clean the cars, calling them names at times. And then when we were inquiring about the check status, he insisted that his assistant was suppose to email the info to me. Seeing how he made up a GM, I doubt he has an assistant either. \r I would think twice about buying a car from him again, but I will definitely never trust him with my trade-in payoff again.
