Review content:
I had been wanting to eat at Paty's for the past few years but it just never happened until recently. It wasn't packed on the Saturday morning I finally made it, but the service didn't reflect the scarcity of patrons to be served. We were not offered coffee until we had been seated nearly five minutes and another table, who had just seated themselves, was immediately poured cups and we happened to be on the server's way back to the kitchen so she offered it to us as well. We never quite felt welcome, which may be something only felt by the regulars like those who were served coffee as they were still settling into their chairs.\r
The food however was excellent, and almost made up for the lack of friendliness from our waitress. Their potatoes were delicious, as was the ""Scrabble"" that I ordered. Even the toast was above standard, very tasty and moist but crispy.\r
I would recommend Paty's for the food, but the customer service at least on my one visit was not anywhere near the same level.
Pros: Free, close parking
Cons: Service
