Contrary to what the first reviewer stated, I have found the Washabi Cafe to be excellent! I've been eating lunch or dinner there once or twice a week for the past two years and have found the service to be excellent and the food to be superb! The food quality, in my opinion, compares to any of the sushi restaurants I have tried in Charlotte, but for a fraction of the cost! They have a modest facility so they don't have to jack up the prices of their food to pay for fancy decor. They have a varied menu of Thai, Japanese and Chinese food and will even modify your order if you have a specific request. \r
I have always found the wait staff to be friendly and they do their best to make your dining experience a good one. Yes, there English is not always the best, but they do still do a good job and are understandable. As for long delays, I haven't found that to be a problem. If numerous customers come in at the same time, there will be a delay as in any restaurant. Since this is a family business, they can't afford to hire excess wait staff. The more wait staff, the higher the prices. I don't mind a modest waiting period to get high quality food...and most importantly...at a great price!
Pros: Great quality food at a low price.
Cons: Modest delays if a large number of people arrive at the same time, but not a problem.
