Review content:
Being from the South and new to Portland, my husband and I are on a mission to try every ""Southern"" place in town. Miss Delta's was our 3rd stop. All of their fried batter was WAY TOO SALTY (fried okra, shrimp, oysters). By the time we left the restaurant, I felt like I had eaten a salt lick for dinner. Most of the food was not very hot and in fact, when my husband asked to try a spoonful of gumbo the owner replied, ""let me see if the chef can warm you up some"", which led us to believe that it is not made fresh. Most of their dinner entrees were bland tasting. The fried catfish and hushpuppies were ok and the piece of cornbread was burnt. This is not a place I would take my Southern relatives to next time their in town! Pros: Quaint Cons: Salty, bland
