Review content:
I tried this restaurant based on it being voted ""#1 Mexican"" in the OC on Citysearch. We tried 3 dishes, and sadly the end result was very disappointing. The decor / restaurant is very ""old, neighborhood family restaurant"" (nothing wrong with that), in a quiet part of town. The Pork Tamales were the best item we had tonight: A touch spicy, tasty, but the pork was a little tough. The Carnitas Burrito I had was the biggest disappointment: It was honestly THE saltiest Carnitas I've ever had in my life (and I've had a LOT of Carnitas)! I could only take a few bites before stopping. The Chips were stale, and the Chicken Flautas turned out to be ~average at best.\r

The only real highlight was the very warm, GREAT service and feel at the restaurant. You could tell it was run by an honest family and the other servers all seemed to exude that feeling as well. It's really too bad the food was so mediocre, or else this would truly be one of the better places to eat in the OC for authentic Mexican food. The search continues...
Pros: Great, Hospitable Service
Cons: Mediocre Food; terrible Carnitas
