Review content:
I ordered a counter top from Stone City who works with International Marble and Granite for order fullfillment. This was a test to see how they perform on a small job before I sent any clients their way or used then myself on larger projects. I am sorry to say, they failed terribly. They completely disregarded the spec sheets I attached with my order which resulted in the sink cuttouts being too large. Stone City and International Marble and Granite were unwilling to work with me to rectify the problem. I was not asking for a new countertop but instead with assistance in purchasing new larger sinks to accomodate the too large sink cut outs. The total outlay for this would have cost no more than $250, assuming they paid retail.\r
\r
Before the costly mistake with the countertop, I have to say the customer service was extreemly poor. I would call to speak to a sales rep and be sent to his voice mail. No one answering the phone would think to tell me he was out for the day or on vacation. Even so, they were very short staffed I think because the sales person was difficult to reach and I often had to speak to the installation department myself in order to get anything done in a timely manner.\r
\r
So if you use this company, you can not be sensitive to deadlines and must be open to the possiblity of mistakes that you will have to pay for.\r
\r
I am also not impressed with the quality of slab I received but did not formally complain, figuring what is done is done. There is no way the counter top is coming out as it would result in too much effort and expense.
Pros: Large selection
Cons: Unable to complete order without errors
