Review content:
I've been a customer of Stone City for more than 10 years, and up until my recent experience, I used to think they were a reputable business. The salesperson I had told me a job would be done on a certain day unless I got a call from her saying otherwise. It was an important deadline, and I stressed that I would even pay rush charges to insure it was met. I did not get a call, but to be certain, I called anyway for peace of mind. It went to voicemail, and I left her a message to call me back. No response. Up until the day of the deadline, I left a few messages, and none of my calls were returned. I was a little concerned, but given I was told everything would be fine if I hadn't heard anything, I chalked it up to them being too busy. They missed the deadline. She never called. I talked to the head of sales, who said she would look into it and call me back. It's been a week and a half, and still no call from her! I now have my stone, and it looks decent, but there are many other marble and stone companies in Chicago that will do a decent, if not exceptional job. For better customer service, and peace of mind, I'll be taking my next project elsewhere.
