Businiess name:  Lonestar Appliance Repair

Review content:
My 3 year old Kenmore refrigerator went out so I called Lone Star. The only positive is that they were able to come out the same day. When the ""technician"" arrived, he barely spoke English. He proceeded to do some tests on the refrigerator and then informed me that the entire circuit board would need to be replaced. The cost would be $345 (this was after applying a 10% coupon).\r \r I thought this price was incredibly high, but agreed to it anyway out of desperation. He was to come back the following day to finish the repair. After he left, I inspected the board myself and noticed that he had removed the fuse from the board. I then begun to wonder if he was really going to replace the entire circuit board, or simply the fuse that he had removed. I called up Lone Star and told them not to come back and that I would repair the refrigerator myself. I was told I would have to pay for a $65 service call, which I agreed to.\r \r The next day, I bought a replacement fuse for $20 and snapped it into the circuit board. The refrigerator now works perfectly.\r \r To summarize, Lone Star wanted to charge me $345 to replace a $20 fuse. They straight up lied to my face by saying that the entire circuit board would need to be replaced. Even if the entire circuit board needed to be replaced, I looked up the cost and it would have only been $125 to order an entire new board.\r \r Lone Star is dishonest with their repairs and have no problem lying to their unsuspecting customers to make the repairs seem more complicated and expensive then they really are.\r \r Please avoid this company at all costs. There are several other negative reviews for this company that you can read about if you don't believe me. I was very lucky not to be sucked into their trap.
