Review content:
I have always found the food at Havana Jax to be fantastic and authentic - perfect for those of us in Wake Forest who want a little taste of the exotic. I've had the marinated pork with tangy-sweet marinated yuca, black beans, and rice. It sounds simple but it's incredible. I've also had the media noche and the cubano tropical sandwiches - both outstanding, especially the cubano tropical. Delicious chicken on thick toasted bread with mango salsa, cheese, and sweet mustard. That also sounds really simple but the flavors were wonderful together. We also had tres leche cake for dessert - so good! Always intriguing specials to choose from as well. I wish we had more restaurants like this one in the triangle, where the focus is on the food. It feels like you're eating at your (Cuban) grandmother's house. Go check out Havana Jax - you won't be sorry! Pros: Delicious food, Cozy atmosphere, Family-owned Cons: Nothing! Go! Go!
