Being a baker myself, I'm incredibly picky about bakeries. I can't possibly claim to have tried all the bakeries in the city, but I've certainly tried many and Martha's Country Bakery is my favorite. It's simply outstanding! I have yet to try their pies but the cookies are simple (as I believe a cookie should be) and delicious. \r
On to the cupcakes-so wonderful! They carry several varieties, from your basic vanilla/chocolate and chocolate/chocolate to chocolate/oreo, chocolate/peanut butter and butter/pistachio (cake/frosting). All of the buttercreams are fantastic (not too sweet, no greasy feeling) but the chocolate....simply divine!\r
AND they're expanding-so, yay!
Pros: CLEAN!, decor, open late, friendly service, very well managed
Cons: I want to eat everything!
