Well I am pretty picky when it comes to ""staying away from home"". I chose Moody Gardens Hotel for the Spa and my husband and young son for the attractions. I have to say that the service was good and our stay in the Jacuzzi room was awesome. Although, don?t expect to get checked in before 4pm even if they promise to. The spa was a fabulous 4 star experience to me. They were so nice and made me feel very relaxed.\r
On the down side, the food, I hate to say, was horrible. We ate there twice and were very disappointed. As for the decor, YES, they need a makeover. The bedspreads and wallpaper are sorely outdated. It gave me a feeling of disappointment and frustration when I entered the room. If not for the Jacuzzi, I probably would have given the rating a 2 star. I suggest they spy on the 5 star hotels and get some new ideas and move on it quickly.\r
Overall, I suggest that for families with young kids, expectable. For couples on a romantic getaway.....get the Jacuzzi Room and go OUT to dinner.\r
