I came across Gaetano's a few years ago with a friend of mine, looking to have some food, drinks and conversation. We sat at the bar to eat. There are a good amount of regulars that go there, but they are all very friendly and the bartender was great. She introduced us to some of the other people sitting at the bar and it made for a really interesting and fun social night. I have been back many times and love the food and the atmosphere. Some of the regulars like to order food and share it with others at the bar...it is a very casual and friendly atmosphere. Some nights, it is like being at a big fat Italian wedding!! I have even brought my mom there and she had such a nice time. I like sitting at the bar, but I have also been to Gaetano's with a large party and had a great experience. I alway find parking either on the street or in the parking lot in the back. Some of my foodie favorites that I recommend are pizza, eggplant rollantini, fried calamari with hot peppers, fusilli with chicken and broccoli rabe, chicken parm and fillet mignon and definitely for cocktails, try an espresso martini or a harvest martini (fabulous!!!). The specials are sometimes to die for too!! All in all, I would highly recommend Gaetano's whether you have a large group or you go alone and eat at the bar.
Pros: food, service, bartenders, drinks, wine
Cons: have to wait sometimes for a table or a seat at the bar, but I guess that means others like it too.
