My Mexican/American Citizen wife recently visited the 2700 Chapel Hill Douglasville Ga location on 9/4/2011 in efforts to cheer herself up in the absence of her husband who is serving with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan. She sat at the pasta bar only to be ignored by not one but two waitresses. The first one brought her a glass of wine that my wife ordered and never came back for the rest of the night. In attempts to get service my wife kindly asked another passing by waitress for a glass of water.....she was completly ignored. My wife was forced to place her orders with the very genteel Hispanic cooks behind the pasta bar. My wife had to ""ask"" to place an order for her appetizer and entree with the cooks. After it became more apparent that she was seemingly being refused service, she again asked the cooks to bring her bread and they obliged. Upon finishing her meal the Hispanic cooks apologized for the seemingly discriminatory behavior of the staff. Were staff members refusing service to her because of her Mexican/American heritage??? Finally some apparaent host came by and made a half hearted excuse as to why she had NO service and in vein attempts to validate his excuse he told her the meal was free. UNACCEPTABLE ! How can the discrimination from the staff at Carrabas be allowed to force my wife to order from the cooks all the while they ignore her. This is comparable to makeing another tax paying citizen ride in the back of the bus. Just remember if you ever decide to take your service chances here,....if your skin color does not meet approval of staff members dont be suprised if they refuse service to you by never coming back for the entire meal. BEWARE ! ! POTENTIAL BIGOTS HERE !! \r
