Yummy Yummy. 10/1/2011

Being in customer service myself, I know to expect good customer service to matter what the circumstance. Carrabba's delivers. Every time I have walked into this restaurant, the wait-staff has made me feel like I was the only guest in the whole place. They treat us like kings ... even if we only go in for a bowl of that delicious Mama Mendola's Sicilian Chicken Soup. .... YUMMY. \r Last night, we went and I had some baby back ribs with a side of grilled zuchini. The red wine braise was amazing on those ribs, although they could have been cooked a little less.\r The only thing I don't like about this restaurant is that I am on a strict diet and their website doesn't list the nutritional facts. I have to make educated guesses on what I can eat on the menu. Fix that problem, and it's five star all the way. more

ARE THERE BIGOTS WORKING HERE??? 9/5/2011

My Mexican/American Citizen wife recently visited the 2700 Chapel Hill Douglasville Ga location on 9/4/2011 in efforts to cheer herself up in the absence of her husband who is serving with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan. She sat at the pasta bar only to be ignored by not one but two waitresses. The first one brought her a glass of wine that my wife ordered and never came back for the rest of the night. In attempts to get service my wife kindly asked another passing by waitress for a glass of water.....she was completly ignored. My wife was forced to place her orders with the very genteel Hispanic cooks behind the pasta bar. My wife had to ""ask"" to place an order for her appetizer and entree with the cooks. After it became more apparent that she was seemingly being refused service, she again asked the cooks to bring her bread and they obliged. Upon finishing her meal the Hispanic cooks apologized for the seemingly discriminatory behavior of the staff. Were staff members refusing service to her because of her Mexican/American heritage??? Finally some apparaent host came by and made a half hearted excuse as to why she had NO service and in vein attempts to validate his excuse he told her the meal was free. UNACCEPTABLE ! How can the discrimination from the staff at Carrabas be allowed to force my wife to order from the cooks all the while they ignore her. This is comparable to makeing another tax paying citizen ride in the back of the bus. Just remember if you ever decide to take your service chances here,....if your skin color does not meet approval of staff members dont be suprised if they refuse service to you by never coming back for the entire meal. BEWARE ! ! Get the Chicken Bryan 4/16/2011

This is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Douglasville, and the chicken Bryan is the best dish on the menu, and Im not a real big fan of chicken dishes. as a side note I would say, be prepared to free up the wallet somewhat, because it isnt cheap more

Best Place to Eat in Douglasville, GA 9/30/2007

I've been there three times since they opened, and always had great service and great food. This may be a chain, but I felt as though they were there to serve me as an honored guest. Waitstaff were all friendly and knowledgable. Food was reasonably priced and plenty of it. I fell in love with the veal piccata, and their special corkscrew noodle dish. It is as good as I had in Italy last year! I have never made it to any of the desserts, as the food portions are large. This last time I got a to-go box and took half of my food home for the next day. more
