Businiess name:  Sansei Seafood Restaurant

Review content:
OK, so being from LA I will admit that I could be spoiled by the high quality sushi. During a recent trip to Maui, was very excited to see that Sansei had a 50% off deal between 5-6 pm on sun/mons. We stood in a line like Disneyland before being seated. Ordered the crispy calamari with 'spicy cocktail sauce'-- the calamari was not crispy, but rather chewy (overcooked) and the cocktail sauce not spicy, but rather ketchup-y. My date and I split 3 rolls between us, the speciality tuna sashimi roll was, I thought good, but my date disagreed. We were both very unhappy with the Spider roll. Being avid sushi eaters we pinpointed that the rice is the culprit-- their rice stinks (tasteless and dry) and their fish/seafood isn't fresh. So next time, we'll save our sushi for Los Angeles. Also, they added a 17% automatic gratuity for a party of 2. As a former server, I was insulted by the autograt and probably would have left 20% otherwise. That said, I bet those waiters clean up since the autograt was nicely included amongst the food items.\r Thanks but no thanks Sansei. Pros: 50% off Cons: poor quality
