Jerry called us and told us that he would be here within an hour.....which he was. Showed him the problem with our sump pump.......it was pumping too frequently and the water coming out of the drain pipe outside was a small amount after a large rainfall. I had also noticed that when the pump would turn on, the basement pipe that connected to the drainage tube seemed to have water coming out around the connection. Jerry checked the pump (it was ok). He ran hot water through the drainage tube to make sure it wasn't frozen (it wasn't). Then he redid the connection outside (which was the problem). He also checked our emergency battery operated pump and said that even though it was fine..........the battery should probably be replaced as it was older and with spring coming with more rainfall.....we followed his advice. He was courteous, explained what the problem was and how it could be fixed. Would definitely recommend him to family and friends.
