Review content:
Upon entering the Stockpot, we were a little disappointed because it seemed like so many banquet-hall type restaurants that you can find all across America. We heard that the ambiance was great but were not that impressed (it is, after all, a restaurant on a golf course).
However, we were fairly pleased with the food (from appetizer through dessert) and were incredibly impressed with the service. It's been a long time since I have been in a restaurant that has a number of ""older"" waiters who seem to be a throwback to the days of old when service was #1 important. Throw in a little humourous banter and it really adds to the overall dining experience. We ordered wine and champagne with the meal and were shocked that the bill seemed so low--but we have thought that about everything since we moved here from NYC. We will definitely go back.
