Review content:
The intimate fine dining area is dressed in dark wood panelling with an ambience that reminds me of Sardi's in New York City.
Begin with Oysters Rockefeller, my favorite. My wife doesn't eat oysters but when I insisted that she just taste one, she insisted that we share the platter!
We have eaten at Porters several times and each time the food has been delicious and perfectly prepared. The Scampi, Jumbo Scallops, Jambalaya, Creole Catfish, are delectable. Their grill selection is equal to their seafood menu. We've enjoyed perfectly prepared Filet and Chops and their mouth watering Rack of Lamb.
The only (marginally) negative experience we have had is that on one visit, they were a little understaffed and very busy. We received an apology from our waiter and a free dessert.
Today we planned to go to Porter's for lunch but found that they are not open on Monday. :-( But we will be dining there tomorrow!
Pros: Oysters Rockefeller to Jambalaya - It's all there!
