Murfreesboro's HobbyTown USA is one of my favorite shops in Middle Tennessee. It's a family-owned and operated business, and the entire crew is always very pleasant and helpful. It feels like the ""Cheers"" of hobby shops to me - I like that I can go in and just shoot the breeze with everyone even when I'm not looking for any one thing in particular. The shop has a wide variety of hobby items. I am mainly into R/C flight, and they carry a large selection of Horizon Hobby products (such as E-Flite, Parkzone, Force RC, Spektrum, JR, etc.). They have lots of R/C cars and trucks, as well, and I've noticed a variety of model trains, model rockets, puzzles, educational-type toys and worksets, and lots and lots of paints, tools, glues, and hobby guides. They also have more plastic model kits than anywhere I've seen in the local area. I used to shop for plastic models as the local Hobby Lobby craft store. HobbyTown USA easily has 10 times the selection at their location. And if there's something I'm looking for they don't have in stock, I can usually get them to order it for me (bonus: they've never charged me for incoming shipping on any of the several Horizon Hobby products and kits I've ordered!). If you're looking for some great and engaging toys for yourself or your kids (especially if you're wanting something different than your typical off-the-rack action figure from Toys R Us), or if you're into R/C vechiles (or WANT to get into R/C vechiles), you owe it to yourself to stop by HobbyTown USA and introduce yourself. I love the variety of items that the shop brings to our community, but it's definitely the friendly family atmosphere that keeps me coming back time and time again. Have fun!
