Very good store. I go in there almost every day buying RC Car parts and RC Techs are so nice and helpful. The rest of the store is great for anybody else with a hobby such as mode...

Very good store. I go in there almost every day buying RC Car parts and RC Techs are so nice and helpful. The rest of the store is great for anybody else with a hobby such as model cars or painting, etc. Mine just happens to be RC Cars. Would recommend to anyone with a special hobby that wants quality material and not cheap stuff from a chain store such as Wal-Mart, where it could be cheaply made. Whatever that may be. more

Great store, friendly atmosphere, wide variety of items 1/5/2011

Murfreesboro's HobbyTown USA is one of my favorite shops in Middle Tennessee. It's a family-owned and operated business, and the entire crew is always very pleasant and helpful. It feels like the ""Cheers"" of hobby shops to me - I like that I can go in and just shoot the breeze with everyone even when I'm not looking for any one thing in particular. The shop has a wide variety of hobby items. I am mainly into R/C flight, and they carry a large selection of Horizon Hobby products (such as E-Flite, Parkzone, Force RC, Spektrum, JR, etc.). They have lots of R/C cars and trucks, as well, and I've noticed a variety of model trains, model rockets, puzzles, educational-type toys and worksets, and lots and lots of paints, tools, glues, and hobby guides. They also have more plastic model kits than anywhere I've seen in the local area. I used to shop for plastic models as the local Hobby Lobby craft store. HobbyTown USA easily has 10 times the selection at their location. And if there's something I'm looking for they don't have in stock, I can usually get them to order it for me (bonus: they've never charged me for incoming shipping on any of the several Horizon Hobby products and kits I've ordered!). If you're looking for some great and engaging toys for yourself or your kids (especially if you're wanting something different than your typical off-the-rack action figure from Toys R Us), or if you're into R/C vechiles (or WANT to get into R/C vechiles), you owe it to yourself to stop by HobbyTown USA and introduce yourself. I love the variety of items that the shop brings to our community, but it's definitely the friendly family atmosphere that keeps me coming back time and time again. Have fun! more

AMAZING STORE!!! 7/28/2010

Great location! close to other great shopping areas, not out of the way being just off the interstate. I was looking for gifts for my children's sleepover with their friends and was pleased with the service. Very helpful, great gift ideas, and they carry toys and products not easily found anywhere else. I will definitely be back and recommend this store to anyone needing a gift for a child and adults alike. The name is a little misleading as they have tons of toys and learning items and I also learned they are locally owned. That's a plus for me! Pros: Great help and service, enjoyable shopping Cons: You can't see the store from the road. more

Place was very nice but should be called Toytown not Hobbytown. 1/13/2008

Was excited to see a Hobbytown USA on a stop we made traveling to see relatives in another state. However when I got there I was ignored half the time I was there but when i finally did get to talk to someone they didn't know what I was talking about when I had some questions about getting a RC Plane for my son. I was really disappointed. I have been to other hobby shops that were a lot more helpful in answering questions. What also was surprising was that it looked like the owner had a 12 year old and a 16 year old running the business . I think he also had two little kids of his running around playing on toys in the store and were also making quite a racket. To top it off the 12 year old ( guessing on ages here) was playing on the computer while I was trying to talk to him and he even cursed when he was talking I was quite upset about this. I asked to see the manager ,which I guess was his father, I told him I did not appreciate being talked to in words like that he said that he didn't believe that his son said what I told him I heard. Pros: Clean store, Many different toys and puzzles. Cons: Bad management, More of a toy store than a hobby store more
