Review content:
I have been to O'Gallerie for several years, and have never been disappointed. The auction house itself is large, and the house is usually full. There is usually a lot of activity on the really good stuff, but for items that are not the best, then one should be aware that the sales price may not be exactly what you want. However, the people that give you the range of the sales price is usually very accurate, so if you don't like it, then don't sell it there, or just don't sell it. Just remember, other consignments stores want 40 to 60 percent, which is twice what O'Gallerie charges on the sell side. I like the online catalogs that come out weeks before the auction, where you can see a clear photo of the item, a detailed description, and a suggested sales range. It is extremely helpful to see what you want. These catalogs are then archived with actual prices for several months. There is also ample time to preview your items to purchase for 3 days before a major auction. This is extremely helpful, so you can see if there are any nicks/scratches/etc. well before you buy. The bidding goes fast, so don't be shy there, and you will have the time of your life! I love it!
