I have looked all over for stylists who could take good care of my crazy ""mixed girl"" hair, and Studio One has always been my favorite place to go, in Durham or anywhere. I started going because it was close to my house and though I live further away now, I still go to Studio One. Lawrence is an excellent stylist, and always takes the time to get to know his clients and their hair. Jennifer and Sherrie are also great hair stylists. The atmosphere in Studio One is professional, yet relaxed and welcoming. It is also very clean and tidy, something I actually greatly appreciate! Make sure to book an appointment well in advance, and I would not advise going during busy times like around prom/holidays, as they get very busy and the wait time can be long. But they are very accommodating and will always try to find a time that fits your schedule. Plus, my hair always looks beautiful after a cut, perm or blowout at Studio One!
Pros: knowledgeable stylists, good atmosphere, quality service
Cons: long wait times during busy hours, parking
