Review content:
My husband and I are huge fans of the Big Burrito group. We have eaten at Eleven at least 6 times and have never left unhappy. Typically, we order the Chef and vegetarian tasting menus with wine pairings. On occassion we order al la carte, but find the tasting menus to be the best way to sample what they have to offer. One of our favoritequalities of Eleven is the focus on utilizing fresh locally produced items. Their use of heirloom tomatoes is always a hilight of the meal. This slow foods attitude has a positive impact on the food consumed. The flavors are heightened and the sensory experience is well balanced. I have found that the service is at least adequate and always polite. There are some phenomenal members of the waitstaff and none that are poor at the job - just some that shine brighter than others. My one warning about Eleven is to be specific when making reservations regarding your table. Seating upstairs is more intimate; seating downstairs, especially close to the bar area is louder, but in my opinion more visually appealing. If you are seated at the Chef's tables (right next to the kitchen) be prepared to hear all the conversatons occuring in the kitchen. We actually enjoy the experience, but it would not be for everyone. An added bonus is the occasional ""gift"" from the chef of an item to try on the house (this doesn't always happen - but has).
Pros: focus on local products
Cons: request specific seating options
