Review content:
I went to Benedict's today for the first time. My first impression was ""wow, this is a quaint place."" It decor and feel was as if i had just walked into a friends house. The hostess seated us right away, and accommodated our request to sit by the tree. My 16 month old daughter was delighted by it. Our waitress, was patient in us figuring out what we wanted, even though at first she seemed frazzled. i was surprised to see that the prices where different on their on-line menu then there actual menu, and was a little disappointed by that.
We decided to order the ""Just one Egg"" for my daughter, which consisted of an egg (however you want it), two breakfast sausages or bacon, 1/2 of an English Muffin, and breakfast potatoes; all for $3.50 and i ordered the Sweet Potato Hash and Eggs Benedict. Which came with a whole English muffin and a cup of fresh fruit, for $7.45. For drink we ordered the Strawberry Orange Juice for 2.95.
The orange juice was okay, a little overpriced, but my daughter loved it. My daughters breakfast she practically devoured. She was really happy with her food, and I manged to try her breakfast potatoes and they were yum.
My meal on the other hand, I did not like. The hash was not seasoned and was pretty much diced squash and some sweet potatoes. I thought it would be like hash browns, but using sweet potatoes instead. i was disappointed in that. My daughter liked it though. The eggs i had asked for well poached, and they were runny. The fruit was really good, and fresh. And the English muffin was well toasted and buttered.
Overall, i will try them again, but not order the Sweet Potato Hash (which was really Squash). The menu seems to have alot of potential yummy foods. The ambiance was great. And my daughter really enjoyed it.
