If you are the only person who loves barbecue who hasn't seen this restaurant featured on the Food Network (hint: you can watch the clip on their website), it really is beyond compare. Moist, tender, flavorful ribs (take your pick of beef, babyback or Memphis-style) have been smoked to perfection and then lovingly grilled to order. The pulled pork is crafted from a secret family recipe and the barbecue sauces are delectably spicy and full of flavor and all made from scratch. You won't find more succulent, meat-falling-off-the-bone barbecued chicken and the corn on the cob comes smoky covered with butter and cotija cheese crumbles...ingenious! My favorites, however, are the grilled shrimp (which are juicy, plump and deliciously accompanies by a spicy aoli sauce) and the seriously flash fried okra (which keeps them from getting gummy)...mouthwatering!! Also not to miss is the sinfully rich mac and cheese, jalapeno cornbread and of course, creamy banana pudding or homemade pie for dessert. Though the lines can get long on the weekends, I can definitely see why people choose to wait like they do for the amazing food. The service is cheerful and friendly and the decor is casual but fun and festive. Go early and bring your appetite...you'll want to eat your way through the entire menu to find your own favorites!!
