Downtown SJ was a trek, but I was curious about Michael Mina's new place. I wasn't disappointed and highly recommend Arcadia. The service was professional and quick. When I found a hair in my dessert, they comped the dessert. Arcadia offers a $19 ""express lunch""--a great value. The lunch consists of a salad you create yourself (choose up to 10 ingredients from a list of ~30), 2 small cups of soup (corn chowder and tomato in my case), and 4 small sandwiches ~2.5 times the size of a finger sandwich (roast beef w/foie gras, lobster salad, lox, BBQ chicken). I was worried that the lunch would be too small because everything was referred to as ""bites"", but there was plenty of food. You can also get a dessert sampler for an additional $7. I was given smores, root beer float, 2 cookies, and peaches w/cream. Again, plenty to eat.
